Frank Zirkle

Frank Casper Zirkle, 72, passed away at home on Saturday, October 04, 2025, in Woodstock VA.

Mr. Zirkle was born in Woodstock, VA on February 27, 1953, the son of the late Frank and Lilly Hamman Zirkle Sr. Frank was very proud of the years he played football for Strasburg high school. Those in the community may know him from his food truck Franks BBQ, which could be found parked at CVS. In his spare time, he could also be found cooking up great recipes at home, he truly enjoyed culinary arts and was a master at his craft. He also enjoyed the company of the family dog Kallee. He was a joy to be around and will truly be missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael Zirkle.

He is survived by his wife Icelee Zirkle; his stepdaughter Bridgette Wilson; his Special sister and Brother-in-Law Larry and Tina Moton; his special cousin Karen Brown (Pete); other cousins Sandy McGheen (Robert), Joyce Ann French, Gene Hamman (Barbara), Leo Ryman (Gloria).

A funeral service for Mr. Zirkle will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday October 14, 2025, at Stover Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Funkhouser officiating. Mr. Zirkle will be laid to rest at Panorama Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home and Crematory on Monday, October 13, 2025, from 6-8 p.m.
