Ervine Pauline Rankin

Ervine Pauline Rankin, 89, of Waynesboro, passed away on Sunday, February 25th, 2024 at the Shenandoah House in Fishersville.
Ervine was born in Highland County on February 8th, 1935. She did landscaping jobs, mowing grass and trimming hedges for most of her life. She was a faithful Baptist, walking to church from her home until she was unable to make the trek. She will be remembered for love of walking, and her kind and generous heart to everyone she met.

Ervine is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her beloved husband, Winston Lee Rankin.

Ervine is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Ewing with husband Howard of Waynesboro; grandsons Joshua Ewing with significant other Amelia, and Christopher Smith with wife Melinda. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Hayden and Elliana.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday, March 2nd, at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
