Eric Douglas Shiflett
Eric Douglas Shiflett, 51, of Craigsville, Virginia passed away Friday, July 12, 2024 at his residence.
Mr. Shiflett was born in Staunton, Virginia on May 25, 1973, a son of Delores Jean (Shiflett) Via.
Eric was a member of Peoples Baptist Church and was employed with Millboro Springs Garage as a mechanic. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1635 where enjoyed playing pool. His hobbies were playing corn hole, softball and racing.
Eric’s love for his grandson “Tate” was beyond measure and he enjoyed spending every second with him he could.
Mr. Shiflett was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Fred and Kathleen Shiflett; an aunt, Linda Hodge and her husband, Richard; and an uncle, Freddie “Hopper” Shiflett.
Surviving, in addition to his mother of Craigsville, is a daughter, Shana Hoy and her husband, Tyler of Stuarts Draft and his grandson, Tate Hoy; and two uncles, Randy Shiflett and Kenny Shiflett and his wife, Shelia.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in Peoples Baptist Church by Pastor Robert A. Hale.
Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Richard Fox, Richard Alan Fox, Todd Sours, Kevin Campbell, Darrell W. Hayes, and Chris Miller.
Those desiring can visit with the family at his residence at any time.
