Eloy Villa
Eloy Villa passed away on February 2nd, 2025. He was born on October 13th, 1934 in Floresville, TX. He graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Civil Engineering and later joined the Army. This eventually took him to Washington, DC where he met Jewell. They married in 1957, and were married for 63 years before her passing in 2020.
Eloy’s career took him to Germany, Pittsburgh, and eventually back to Fairfax, VA where they spent over 30 years before retiring to Williamsburg, VA. He enjoyed golfing, working at Busch Gardens, and keeping busy with yard work and feeding the birds and squirrels. He also loved to fish, especially at the beach during summer vacations.
He loved to cook during the holidays, and particularly enjoyed making his famous Chinese food when his loved ones came to visit. He enjoyed traveling the world, whether it was on a cruise or a trip to see the kids and grandkids. Eloy has traveled to Alaska, Japan, the Panama Canal, Hawaii, and so much more. He loved to explore each new place to its fullest.
Eloy is survived by his daughters: Donna (Jim) Haltigan, Monica (Andy) Keen, and Stephanie (Tony) Lyons; grandchildren: Julie (Travis) Sumner, Katie (Mike) Buccola, Chelsea VanLear, Joe VanLear, William VanLear, Percie (Tate) McPherson, Corey Lyons, Allyson Baugher, Zoe Lyons, and Anna VanLear; great grandchildren: Eddy Buccola, Marnie Sumner, Ramsey Buccola, Maxine Sumner, and Torrey Buccola.
A service will take place on Monday, February 17th, 2025 at 12pm at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville, VA.
