Edna "Eddie" Rooney Hosaflook

Edna "Eddie" Rooney Hosaflook, 91, of Mount Solon, passed away in the company of family on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

She was born on December 27, 1932, in Henderson, KY, and was the eldest child of the late John J. Rooney, II and Irene (Beasley) Rooney.

Edna was united in marriage to her husband Dewitte, who survives, on March 1st, 1952.

Edna is also survived by her two children, Brent Hosaflook (Karen), and Nona Cubbage (Gary); brother, Larry (Nina) Rooney; sister, Ann (Tommy) Alexander; three grandchildren, Jonathan, Anna, and Drew Cubbage; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John J. Rooney, III and Tom Rooney.

As a young woman Eddie loved to dance and ride horses. She was a gifted seamstress and an avid gardener. She spent her life devoting her time and care to her family and the Lord. She was so dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at the Bridgewater Baptist Church, on Tuesday, May 14th, at 2pm.
