Easter (Brown) Pitzer
Easter (Brown) Pitzer, 100, widow of Paul Preston Pitzer, of Fishersville, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mrs. Pitzer was born in Waynesboro, Virginia on April 12, 1925, a daughter of the late Clinton Dewey Brown and Rebecca Lorise (Glass) Brown.
Easter was the oldest active member of St. John’s Evangelist Catholic Church in Waynesboro, where she was given the title “Boss” of the kitchen.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Brown.
Surviving is a daughter, Patricia “Patty” Nulty and her husband Butch of Churchville; two brothers, Clinton C. Brown and his wife Diana of Batesville, VA and Wallace Brown of Kilmarnock, VA; two grandchildren, Cammy Nulty and Tamara Johnson and her husband Alex; three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews that she so dearly loved and Easter’s beloved church family.
A Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026 in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church by Father Stephen Hickman.
