Earl Dewitt Staubus

Earl Dewitt Staubus Sr., 90, of Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Legacy at North Augusta.

He was born on June 22, 1935 and was a son of the late Earl and Louise (Michael) Staubus.

Earl had worked at Westinghouse prior to his retirement from McQuay. He was a wonderful woodworker, and enjoyed playing Bingo, the Cake Wheels, hunting and fishing. He was a fan of the old time NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhart.

Earl was united in marriage on August 4, 1957 to Doris (Huffer) Staubus.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Bernice (Ronnie) Michael, Earl Staubus, Jr., and Michael Staubus; his sister, Audrey Babcock; granddaughter, Sue Michael; and great grandchildren, Tyler Michael, and Kimberly Michael and numerous nieces and nephews; and his caregivers, Tina Crawford and Vicky Michael.

A service celebrating Earl's life will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Bridgewater Chapel of Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service with Chaplain Daniel Hess officiating.

Friends may call at the Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater on Tuesday to pay their respects.
