Douglas "Warren" Cash

May 14, 1943 - December 18, 2023

Douglas “Warren” Cash, 80, husband of Sandra Lorine “Sandy” (Jones) Cash, of Fishersville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023 at Augusta Health in Fishersville. 
Mr. Cash was born in Virginia on May 14, 1943, a son of the late Samuel Harrison Cash and Mary Lou (Fix) Cash. 
Warren was self-employed at Fairway L.T.D and was a bus driver for Augusta County Public Schools. He was a member of Connections Baptist Church and the Wilson Memorial Boosters. Warren enjoyed drag racing and being around others. 
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cash was preceded in death by a sister, Mamie Hodge and seven brothers, Fauntleroy, Finley, Robert, John, Samuel, Bruce, and Herbert Cash.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of 60 years, are two sons, Stephen Cash and his wife, Lisa and D.W. Cash and his significant other, Alice Solis, all of Fishersville; two grandsons, Dusty and Sam Cash; a brother, Gene Cash and his wife, Dolly of Waynesboro; a sister-in-law, Nancy Rexrode; and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. 
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence. 
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bill Johnson. 
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park. 
Active pallbearers will be Ben Cash, Neil Cash, Wes Cash, Kenny Hanger, Trey Duke, and Glen Boyette.
Honorary pallbearers will be Al Cash, Andy White, Duck Simmons, and Jeff Flint.
It is suggested that those desiring make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 4110, Glen Allen, VA 23058 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-1942.
The family would like to express a sincere “Thank you” to Dr. James E. Boyer and the staff at Sentara Martha Jefferson Phillips Cancer Center for the care and compassion shown to Mr. Cash.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
