Dorothy Eloise (Quick) Campbell
Dorothy Eloise (Quick) Campbell, 91, of Nellysford, Virginia, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026.
Mrs. Campbell was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, on August 1, 1934, the daughter of the late Harry Anderson Quick, Jr. and Helen Eloise (Keith) Quick.
Dorothy graduated from Rockfish Valley High School and went on to build a long career with Nelson County Public Schools, retiring in 2007 as a library assistant from Rockfish River Elementary School. She was a recipient of the Dawbarn Education Award and was a longtime member of Beech Grove Christian Church.
She enjoyed sewing, working puzzles, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family. An avid reader, she especially loved sharing her passion for reading with others. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart.
In addition to her parents and her husband of 74 years, Harold Bruce Campbell, she was preceded in death by her two infant sons, Harold Bruce Campbell, Jr. and Michael Wayne Campbell; and her two brothers, Harry Anderson Quick, III and Keith Edward Quick.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her children, Deborah Armistead (Dudley), Kathy Tucker (Lowrie), and Mike Campbell. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Lowrie Tucker (Jillian) and their children, Walter and Claire; Daniel Tucker and his children, Hayden and Bowen; Kassie Tucker (Rich) and their children, Oscar, Fiona, and Leo; Keller Armistead; and David Armistead (Mandy) and his son, David. She was also cherished by her dear friend, Tom Leslie. She is further survived by her brother, David Quick, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to honor her life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Beech Grove Christian Church Cemetery, located on Cub Creek Road, Roseland VA. 22967.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Legacy at North Augusta for the compassionate care they gave to our parents. We are grateful for the compassionate care given by Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah to our mother.
