Doris Raynes Morris

Doris Raynes Morris, 82, of Grottoes, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

She was born on January 19, 1942 and was a daughter of the late John Raynes and Aretta (Morris) Raynes.

Doris had worked at Marshalls. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzles, and history. She loved her grandchildren, colorful flowers, and sitting on the porch with her cat, Jessie.

Doris was united in marriage to Sidney Morris, Sr. for 63 years, who preceded her in death on September 22, 2023.

Doris is survived by three children, Sidney Morris, Jr., Sarah (Harold) Conway, Amy (Alan) Click; five grandchildren, Caitlin Conway, Colby Morris, Kendall Morris, Sarah (Click) Blackwell, Stephanie (Click) McCullough; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by brothers, Larry and Earl Raynes.

The family will receive friends between 6-8PM, on Friday, December 6, 2024. The casket will be closed. A graveside service will be held at 3PM, on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Port Republic Mutual Cemetery with Alan Click officiating.
