Donald Wayne Howdyshell

Donald Wayne Howdyshell, 75, of Lynchburg, previously of Mount Solon, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Hospice House of Bedford.

Donald was born in Mount Solon, VA, on December 26, 1948 and was a son of the late John William and Julia (Rexrode) Howdyshell.

He is survived by sister, Joann Plaugher, of Bridgewater; brother, Wilford Howdyshell, of Bridgewater; caregiver, Phillip Jones and wife Betty.

He is preceded in death by sisters, Mae Lilly Howdyshell, Irene Griffith; brothers, Melvin Howdyshell, Benjamin Howdyshell, Galen Howdyshell, and David Howdyshell.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Philip and Betty Jones for the many years of wonderful care they provided to Donald.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Emmanuel Church of the Brethren Cemetery, with Pastor Steve Spire officiating.
