Donald Huffman

Donald Lee “Don” Huffman, age 88 of Petersburg, WV passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Don was born on September 11, 1935, in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late Lane Huffman and Goldie Easter (Vance) Huffman. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by one son Bradley Lee Huffman and one brother, Victor Lane Huffman: two sons-in-law, M. Lynn Runion, Jr. and Michael Anthony Lehr.

Don was a l955 graduate of Petersburg High School.  He was a construction worker, farmer and logger. Don was owner of D. Huffman Logging.  He also was owner of Petersburg Seneca Theater.  He enjoyed taking care of his cattle and garden.  He was an avid hunter.  He was a member of Bethel Church, Landes, WV.

Brock Edward Huffman of Petersburg, WV

Two daughters:  Angela Marie Huffman of Petersburg, WV

Myra Huffman - Runion of Petersburg, WV

One step- daughter:  Susan George (Mike) of Petersburg, WV

Five Grandchildren, Three Great Grandchildren and Two Step Grandchildren and Four Step Great Grandchildren.

Four sisters:  Nancy Webster (Kenny) of Moorefield, WV

Judy Lough of Petersburg, WV

Mary Ann Bennett of Petersburg, WV

Peggy Huffman of Falling Waters, WV

One brother:  Gerald “Jerry” Huffman (Myra) of Petersburg, WV

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 1 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Henson and Pastor Glenn Vance, Jr. officiating.  Family will receive friends from 11 AM till time of service.

Interment will be in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV.
