It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful sister, Dr. Dianne L. Buhrman, 64, on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at her residence in Staunton. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.Dianne was born on September 2, 1960, to the late Lee J. and Elizabeth E. Buhrman and grew up in Newark, DE. She attended Saint Mark's High School in Wilmington, DE.From an early age her love of all animals (including her mice) began, and this love led to her career as a veterinarian. She attended the University of Delaware and then transferred to the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech where she obtained her doctorate in veterinary medicine.Dianne had a huge heart, and her generosity was beyond measure. She gave so much love to her family and enjoyed having many gatherings at her home in Staunton. She considered her friends a part of her family. She loved and treasured her co-workers and clients at Westwood Animal Hospital, where she practiced as a veterinarian for many years.She is survived by her loving siblings, David L. Buhrman, Deborah L. (Robert J.) Hardos, and Karen M. Buhrman; her nephews, Stephen R. (Jennifer) Hardos, Jeffery D. (Gina) Buhrman, and Bradley D. (Kalie) Hardos; her niece, Kaitlyn E. Buhrman; her great-nephews, Henry and Parker; her great-nieces, Piper and Hazel; as well as extended family throughout the U.S. and her beloved friends who are more like family. A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Henry Funeral Home in Staunton.
