Dennis W. Losh

SWOOPE – Dennis Wayne Losh, 68, passed away Monday (March 9, 2026) in River Edge Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born June 16, 1957 in Staunton, he was a son of the late Stanley H. and Lula (Armstrong) Losh. Dennis was a 1975 graduate of Buffalo Gap High School, and was employed by Polybond until his health declined. He was an outdoorsman, and particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Losh.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Drum and Tiffany Yankey; his sister Susie Griffin (husband Harry); nieces and nephews Beth Shaver (husband Chris), Ben Griffin (wife Danielle), and Brittany Griffin, Wendy Fridley (husband William), Josh Losh (wife Becky) and Becca Losh; and great-nieces and great-nephews McKenzie, Tyler, Keira, Jake, Jacob, Tucker, Lily, Porter, Grayson and Kennedy; and special caregiver Danielle Heatwole.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12 in West Augusta Cemetery, officiated by Pastor George Etling. 

The family is grateful for the compassionate care given by the staff of Gentiva Hospice.
