Deborah "Debbie" Lynn (Back) Reeves

Deborah Lynn “Debbie” (Back) Reeves, 65, of Mineola Street in Staunton passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024 in Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia. 
     Ms. Reeves was born on September 2, 1959 in Staunton, a daughter of the late Aldine Calvin Back and Gertrude Ann (Wilkerson) Calverley.
     Ms. Reeves was member of Christ United Methodist Church and was last employed with Augusta Correctional Center where she worked as a nurse. Debbie’s nursing career spanned over 30 years with numerous health facilities in the area. She enjoyed traveling to the beach, especially the OBX.  She loved her pet dogs “Oscar”and “Bella,” art by number painting, cooking, decorating for all holidays and family get togethers.   
     In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by a daughter, Summer Sams; her step-father, Arthur Thomas Calverley; and numerous aunts and uncles.
     Survivors include a son, Benjamin T. Reeves and his fiancée Lora Phillips of Raphine; a brother, Calvin “Eddie” Back of Staunton; her last surviving uncle, Fred A. Wilkerson, Sr. and numerous cousins, devoted friends, and neighbors.
     Memorial Services will be private.
     The family will receive friends following the service.
     Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
