David Wade

David Ray Wade, 70, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on March 31, 2025 at his residence. He was born in Newport News, VA on July 26, 1954, a son of the late Alfred Edgar and Lillian Mae (Huddleston)Wade.

David worked as a Pipefitter with Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Company prior to his retirement in 2016. He greatly enjoyed cooking, playing basketball, going to the gym, and taking walks with his neighbors. David also was accomplished horseback rider.

Survivors include his siblings, Wayne E. Wade, Patricia A. Campbell, and Walter L. Wade; special friends, Christopher B. Lamb Michael C. Rogers; as well as extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Newport News.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville.
