David Mitchell Campbell, 65, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in Waynesboro.He was born on April 26, 1960 in Staunton to the late George and Hilda Lee Austin Campbell and spent most of his life growing up in Middlebrook.He worked for many years as a service technician with Dave’s Heating and Cooling in Staunton.David loved the outdoors and found comfort in cutting wood, caring for his animals, and living a simple, hardworking life.He is survived by his son, William Mitchell Byers and his wife, Megan; his brother, Michael Campbell; and his grandchildren, Mariah, McKayla, and Maylee Byers.In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his baby brother, Richard Thomas Campbell.A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Mount Hermon Cemetery in Newport, Virginia with Pastor Kevin Persinger officiating.Arrangements are being handled by Henry Funeral Home.Condolences may be made to the family online at www.henryfuneralhome.net
