Danny Edward Howdyshell

Danny Edward Howdyshell, 66, of Bridgewater, passed away Tuesday morning, September 17, 2024, at his home, where he had been recovering from a recent surgery.

He was the son of the late Charles Edward and Dorothy (Hummel) Howdyshell.

Danny was always a fun loving guy who lived life to the fullest. He loved tinkering with his truck and reconditioning cars. He could make a vehicle look like new. He loved country music and could often be heard singing and playing his guitar. Danny loved yard work, planting flowers, and working in the garden. He had many friends and people that loved him. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his companion Renee Forbus; three children, Charlie Lambert of Kettering, OH, Justin Michael of Herndon, VA, and Alison Filler and husband Chad, of Grottoes; sisters, Donna Click and husband Gary, of Bridgewater, VA and Connie Howdyshell and fiancé, Paul Gann of Clinton, TN;and numerous nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Benny Howdyshell.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

A funeral will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Spring Creek Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Billy Curry officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Sangerville, VA.
