Daniel Davis Shifflett

Daniel Davis Shifflett, 79, passed away on Friday June 21, 2024 at Brookdale of Staunton, Virginia with his loving family present.

He was born December 13, 1944 to the late Albert Mickey and the late Bessie May Moyer Shifflett.

Besides his parents he is preceded in death by four sisters, Marie Rice, Christine Farmer, Doris Gibson, Mary Lucy Via; five brothers, Rae Shifflett, Albert Mickey Shifflett, Jr., Robert Shifflett, Jack Shifflett, and twin brother David Shifflett; son-in-law, Ronnie Allen Angle who passed June 4, 2024 and daughter-in-law Debbie Shifflett who passed April 24, 2024.

Daniel was a well known Entrepreneur (business man) always ready to make a deal, he knew a lot of people who he helped and shared stories. 

Surviving family are his lifetime partner and soulmate of 44 years Marian Dodd Grubb; daughter, Rita Angle; son, Daniel D. Shifflett, Jr.; brother, Fred Shifflett (Sandra) of Charlottesville; two step children Freeman and Kay Grubb and Kelly Critzer. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held 1:00 PM at McDow Funeral Home on Thursday June 27, 2024 with a funeral service at 2:00 PM officiated by Pastor Lary Aikens chaplin with Gentiva Hospice, with burial in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Timothy Layman, Michael Estes, Josh Fitzgerald, Josh May, Travis Shifflett, Tyler Critzer, Tony Whitaker and Bryce Leake.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Danny's name to the Shenandoah Valley Animal Service Center, 1001 Mt Torrey Rd, Lyndhurst, VA 22952.
