Dale "Wolf" Thomas Dove
Dale "Wolf" Thomas Dove, 67, of Bridgewater, passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at his home.
He was born on July 2, 1956, and was the son of the late Harry E. Sr. and Jane M. (Botkin) Dove.
Dale loved to be with family and friends and go on vacation trips to Florida. He also loved going to Nagshead to deep sea fish. He had a Harley Davidson chopper that he loved and would ride for Toys-For-Tots. Dale loved hunting, and his dog General Lee, his best friend who never left his side, and who he called his son.
In 1982 his wife, Kelly Bergh Dove, was abducted, and he always had hopes of her return. They had a beautiful daughter, Tami (Dove) Lam. Later in life Dale married his childhood sweetheart.
Dale worked as a carpenter for Nielsen Builders Inc., and R.G. Reeves for 19 years. He got a scholarship Certificate for being A"1". Dale would show places and tell stories of what he had built. Dale loved to go dancing. He would say "they used to call me Dale Travolta, now you know what they call me...911". Dale had the nickname Wolf. He loved to help who ever he could, it made him feel special. He would say "that's what God would want me to do".
Dale "Wolf" is survived by a daughter, Tami Lam; brothers, Harry (Sandra) Dove, and Audie Dove; grandchildren, Kendall Lam, and Jadyn Lam; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his first wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cathy Smith, and son, Christopher Dove.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hahn Cancer Center and Dr. Lisa Alleyne at Carilion Family Clinic in Dayton.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.
A service celebrating Dale "Wolf"'s life will be held at 12 PM on Tuesday, May 14th, at Spring Creek Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Steve Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow at Sangerville Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
