Dale Kennan Guffey

Dale Kennan Guffey, 68, formerly of Fisher Circle in Staunton, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Brookdale Assisted Living of Staunton. 
Mr. Guffey was born in Staunton, Virginia on August 12, 1957, a son of Betty Lou (Wimer) Guffey and the late Ray Kennan Guffey.
Dale graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1978 and went on to spend many fulfilling years with Sears Surplus. He attended Third Presbyterian Church and loved collecting cars; he could often be found happily tinkering under the hood.
Surviving, in addition to his mother of Staunton, is a brother, Daniel Ray Guffey and his wife, Kim of Fishersville; three aunts, Brenda (Wimer) Hamilton and her husband, Rusty, Arlene (Wimer) McManaway, and Oakey (Wimer) Campbell; an uncle, Curtis Wimer; two nieces, Stefanie Fuqua and her husband, Terrell and Jennifer Cline and her husband, Jason; two great-nephews, Aydan and Jacob; a great-niece, Elaina; a special friend, Mari Fountain; a “sister dog”, Tilly; and numerous cousins. 
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory. Guests are invited to attend in casual attire.
A private graveside service will be held in Oaklawn Memory Gardens.

The family would like to express a sincere “Thank you” to the staff with Augusta Palliative Care, Legacy Hospice, and Brookdale Assisted Living for the care and compassion shown to Dale.
