Cynthia Kay Cook

January 2, 1960 - February 2, 2024

Cynthia Kay (Kline) Cook, 64, of Dayton, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024.

She was born on January 2, 1960, and was a daughter of Nancy (Caplinger) Kline, of Broadway, and the late Robert Kline.

Cynthia had worked as a clerk for Martins Grocery in Harrisonburg, and was a member of the New Market Voice Tabericle. She enjoyed camping and being involved with church activities especially singing.

She was united in marriage on June 11, 2000 to Larry Eugene Cook, Jr., who survives.

Cynthia is survived by a step-daughter, Ashley Shifflett and wife, Kaitlyn; brothers, Phillip Kline, and Robert Kline, Jr. and wife, Rebecca; sister, Rebecca Kline; grandchildren, Haliey Alger, Kayden Alger, and Logan Alger; niece, Jennifer Kline; nephew, Wayne Kline; four great nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 PM on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

A service celebrating Cynthia's life will be held at 10 AM on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024 at New Market Voice Tabericle, 9360 George Collins Pkwy, New Market, with Pastor Charles Clinedinst officiating.
