Cora Reynard

Cora Irene Arnold Reynard, 96, of Strasburg, VA passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. 

A funeral service for Mrs. Reynard will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 29, 2023, at Burnt Factory Church in Stephenson, VA with Rev. Steve Melester officiating.  Burial will follow in Shenandoah Memorial Gardens, Winchester, VA. 

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023. 

Mrs. Reynard was born in Washington DC on July 27, 1927, the daughter of the late Calvin Ezra and Amy Irene Updike Arnold.  She was a member of the Burnt Factory Church in Stephenson, VA.

Survivors include her children Patricia Ann Sheldon (Ronald) of Tucson, AZ, Calvin Brent Reynard of Strasburg, VA, and Amy Joy Shepley (James) of Winchester, VA; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a daughter in law Lorraine Reynard of Luray, VA.

The pallbearers will be Ronnie Sheldon, Jr., Jeremy Reynard, Alex Shepley, Tom Shepley, Chris Shepley, and Charlie Shepley.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions by made to Burnt Factory Church, P.O. Box 399, Stephenson, VA 22656, Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601, or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
