Cora Goldizen Hinkle

Cora Goldizen Hinkle, 85, of Bridgewater, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Bridgewater Home.

She was born on May 25, 1938, and was a daughter of Andrew and Jennie (Ours) Goldizen.

Cora had worked at Almost New Shop from 1973-86 and Valley Heritage from 1987-99. She was an active member of the Bridgewater United Methodist Church. She helped with Bible school, class president of her Sunday School Class numerous times, active in United Methodist Women, but most importantly was a great Prayer Warrior. She was enjoyed baking and sharing with her family, friends, and neighbors. Cora was a people person and loved getting to know others. She was past president of the Bridgewater Women's Club.

Cora was united in marriage on September 4, 1964, to Kenneth Robin Hinkle who preceded her in death on April 10, 2017.

Cora is survived by her daughter, Candy Martin & husband Mark, of Dayton; brother, John Goldizen, of Cabins, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Paul Goldizen, Pauline Ours, Riley Goldizen, Carolina Carr, and Andrew Goldizen.

A service celebrating Cora's life will be held on April 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Bridgewater United Methodist Church with Pastors, Mary Dadisman, Johnny Goldizen and Troy Pearson officiating.

Friends may call at the home of Candy and Mark on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgewater Rescue Squad or the Bridgewater Retirement Community.
