Connie Campbell

Connie Ramsey Campbell, 68, of Lyndhurst, passed away Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Shenandoah House, Fishersville. She was born September 1, 1955 in Waynesboro, the daughter of the late Elbert Ramsey and the late Joyce Ramsey.

Connie worked with the Augusta County Transportation Department from 1976 through 2024. For 41 years, from 1976 through 2017, she drove a school bus for Augusta County Schools. She became bus secretary for five years before working her way up to Route Coordinator. Connie loved her job, helping and talking with other. She never met a stranger and always enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Elbert Ramsey, Jr.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Campbell; her three children, Tonya of Lyndhurst, Philip and his wife, Natalie of Mint Springs and Jennifer of Stuarts Draft; her five grandchildren, Brittany (Logan), Kayley (C. J.), Kelsey (Gabe), Cobin and Reid; her two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Bodhi; her sister, Tina Hatter and her husband, Daniel of Lyndhurst and two special friends, Brandy Knight and Lori Fitzgerald.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, Friday, June 21, 2024 at the Charlton and Groome Funeral Home, 619 Lifecore Dr., Fishersville.
