Clarence "Mickey" Elwood Staton
Clarence Elwood “Mickey” Staton, Jr., 64, of Jericho Road in Fishersville, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Augusta Health in Fishersville.
Mr. Staton was born in Staunton, Virginia on December 7, 1959, a son of the late Clarence Elwood Staton, Sr. and Alice Lucille (Brown) Staton.
Mickey retired from Hershey’s and attended Old Paths Baptist Church. He was an avid Redskins fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, attending truck-pulls, spending time outdoors, and being with his grandchildren.
Surviving, are two sons, Ralph Leonard Jackson, II and his wife, Rachael of Staunton and Chad M. Staton (Brittany High) of Verona; a daughter, Carrie E. Dean (Chris Bartley) of Fishersville; two brothers, Carl Staton and his wife, Teresa of Fishersville and Ray Staton and his wife, Becky of Churchville; two sisters, Brenda Thompson and her husband, James and Beverly “Bubbie” Gregory and her husband, Junior both of Stuarts Draft; three granddaughters, Emily, Remington and Kyndall Dean; his girlfriend, Tammy Roberts of Woodstock; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel by Pastors John Smith, Luke Smith, and Larry Strickler. The family will receive friends following the service.
Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 in Tinkling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
