Chase Benten Killingsworth

Chase Benten Killingsworth, 39, husband of Laura Renee (Ludholtz) Killingsworth, of Craigsville, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 on his way home from a hunting trip.
Mr. Killingsworth was born in Staunton, Virginia on August 23, 1985, the son of Daphne Annette Pierce and David Lynn Killingsworth.
Chase was a self-employed realtor with First Choice Realty in Staunton and had recently retired from the Waynesboro Fire Department. A passionate outdoorsman, he looked forward to his yearly hunting trips with a close-knit group of friends at the Laurel Hill Hunt Camp in West Virginia. He deeply cherished the bonds he shared with his hunting buddies. Chase also enjoyed kayaking and fishing. He took pride in crafting his own fishing poles and tying his own lures, enjoying the craftsmanship as much as the thrill of the catch. His love for the outdoors was evident in every aspect of his life.
Mr. Killingsworth was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard Killingsworth; and paternal grandmother, Lorraine (Guire) Killingsworth.
Surviving, in addition to his wife of ten years, is his beloved daughter, Ivy Gene Killingsworth; his mother, Daphne of Newport, NC; his father, David and his wife, Janet of Staunton; a sister, Katie E. Dixon and her husband, Bryan of Newport, NC; his maternal grandmother, Nancy E. Snider of Fishersville; his maternal grandfather, William R. Pierce of Denton, NC; his paternal step-grandmother, Bertha A. Killingsworth; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Linda S. and Harold Ludholtz, Jr. of Mt. Crawford; three sisters-in-law, Patty Hawk and her husband, Jason, Angie May and her husband, Travis, and Jennifer Bright and her husband, Brian; and a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews. 
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory. 
Per Chase’s request, there will be no services. 
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
