Charlotte Arnold

Charlotte Jean Kidwell Arnold, 89, of Front Royal, VA passed away Monday, September 23, 2024, at Skyview Springs Nursing and Rehab in Luray, VA.

Mrs. Arnold was born in Vienna, VA on December 12, 1934, a daughter of the late Fredrick Hamilton and Thelma Staats Kidwell.  She was a member of the Bennett’s Chapel United Methodist Church for over 50 years, the Woodstock Moose and the Front Royal Bowling League. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Sheldon Arnold; two grandchildren Jacob Crowder and Jordan Barnette, and a son-in-law Lennie Himelright.

Survivors include her children Paul Arnold of Front Royal, VA, Rick Arnold (Jan Elizabeth) of Virginia Beach, VA, Janet Himelright of Strasburg, VA, Doug Arnold (Barbara) of Luray, VA, and Linda Crowder (James) of Front Royal, VA; her grandchildren Rockston Arnold, Robert Arnold, Jade Leonard (Andrew), Tamara Helton (Brian), Matthew Himelright (Melanie), Ginny Freisinger (Casey), Aaron Arnold (Tina), Wesley Arnold (Jordan), and Bradley Crowder (Jennifer); 15 great-grandchildren; her siblings Fred Kidwell of Maurertown, VA, Jack Kidwell (Cynthia) of Boynton, VA, Betty Satkisiars of Groveland, FL and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration of life service for Mrs. Arnold will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Bennett’s Chapel United Methodist Church family hour at 10:00 a.m., service at 11:00 a.m., and lunch at 12:00 noon, with Pastor Taeshin Kim officiating.
