Charles Leroy Stephenson, Jr., age 64, gained his angel wings peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Saturday, October 25, 2025.Leroy was born in Staunton on October 31, 1960 to the late Charles Leroy Stephenson, Sr. and Linda Lou (Kelley) Mynes.Leroy was a dedicated driver for Sysco for 32 years, where he was known for his passion for the job. He considered his colleagues at Sysco to be like a second family.He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and was truly passionate about his faith and love for the Lord. He had a variety of interests that brought joy to his life. He was an avid NASCAR fan and spent many happy days at the campground, where he enjoyed working on his camper. His love for music shone through in his enjoyment of karaoke with friends.Above all, Leroy cherished his family and leading his people to the Lord. He was deeply proud of his children and took great joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family gatherings were something he loved to arrange, ensuring that everyone felt connected and included.He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Stephenson; his daughter, Clairissa Fix, and son-in-law, Jeffrey; his son, Brad Rexrode, and daughter-in-law, Amber; and his daughter, Jennifer Rexrode, and son-in-law, Anthony Henley; his grandchildren, Destinee Rexrode, Aubrey Rexrode, Braelyn Rexrode, Brianna Cole, Avaleigh Rexrode, Izabella Fields, Kayleen Roadcap, Brittany Rexrode, Jace Cole, Camden Brooks Fix, Jade Ryan Fix and Finley Fix; his great-grandchildren, Cohen Swanson, Chazlynn Roadcap, Chandyn Roadcap, Paizleigh Whitmore, Ryder Rohr, Rawlings Rexrode; his brother, Ronnie Amos; his sisters, Mary Stephenson, Sandra Cooper and Norma Jean Harrelson; and his mother-in-law, Barbara Stephenson.In addition to his parents, Leroy is preceded in death by his brothers, Troy and Michael Stephenson.The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Henry Funeral Home.A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 31, 2025 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Stewart McCarter. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Mausoleum and Memory Gardens.The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sysco for everything they did for he and his family over the years, and also the team at UVA, as well as Hospice of the Piedmont for the special care he received.
