Cecil Allen Whittle
Cecil Allen Whittle was born on April 18, 1952 in Arlington, Virginia and grew up in Saluda, South Carolina. For the last 20 years, he resided in Bath County, Virginia and then resided in Staunton, where he passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his home, under Hospice Care.
Cecil was the son of Christina Maffet Whittle of Saluda, and the late Floyd Tracy Whittle (Jack).
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Darrel Whittle; a nephew, Mason Whittle; sister, Jane Adams and a step-grandson, Nichloas Botkin.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Belva Pullin Whittle of Staunton; two daughters in S.C., Tina King &and her husband, Mike, Tabatha Hyder and her husband, John; step-children in VA, Dana Pullin, and wife, Jennifer, Michelle Painter and her husband, Chris, Bert Shiflett and his wife, Melissa; sisters, Jenny Henry and her husband, Lee, Jackie Martin and her husband, Richard, Chrissie Whittle, Rhonda Willis and her husband, Nathan, all of S.C.; brothers, Mark Whittle and his wife, Linda of Florida, and Joe McCray of Waynesboro, VA. His grandchildren in SC., Mallory King and Lili Hyder and step-grandchildren in VA.; Josh Pullin and his wife, Meaghan, Jared Pullin, Andrew Fix, Levi Shiflett, Bradley Painter, Nick Wichael and Sarah Trimble; three step-great-grandchildren, Olivia Pullin, Ava Wichael, and Jack Wichael; a number of nieces, nephews cousins, and Friends.
Cecil played football & baseball in high School. He also loved to dirt track race with his dad, Jack. Later he would keep up with his favorite sports on television, along with collecting antiques and rebuilding old cars. He was in construction for 20 years and later decided to become self-employed.
Per Cecil's request, there will be no services. His body will be donated for scientific studies, then be cremated.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
