Carolyn Pullin
Carolyn M. Pullin, 84, of Churchville, passed away on Monday, November 04, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Augusta County on August 3, 1940, a daughter of the late Guy and Violet Marks.
Carolyn graduated from Wilson Memorial High School. She worked as a over-the road truck driver with KBT trucking until her retirement in 2015. Carolyn greatly enjoyed attending all the sporting and school events for her grandchildren. Her favorite quote was “Keep it between the lines.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband and best friend, Robert “Bob”Hale; daughter, Donna Carter; grandson, Chris Hale; and brother, Buddy Marks.
Survivors include her daughters, Robin Reed (Tony) of Stuarts Draft and Crissy Botkin (Joey) of Churchville; sons, Mike Hale (Pam) of Waynesboro, Jamie Hale (Jessica) of Staunton, and Joe Hale (Iantha) of Warner Robins, GA; 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, five great great-grandchildren; sisters, June Hale of Stuarts Draft and Ellen Diehl of Stuarts Draft; friend, Jennifer Malcomb and family; friend, Kathryn Curry and family; as well extended family.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 6pm until 8pm at Charlton and Groome Funeral Home in Fishersville.
There will be no formal service.
Memorial donations may be made to the Help Health Equipment Loan Program.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to Help Health Equipment Loan Program, Hospice of the Shenandoah, and her caregivers: Crissy Botkin, Carolyn’s grandchildren: Jody Collins-Pullin, Lexi “Lucy” Hale, Jacob Collins, and special friends, Andrew “George”Overbey-Maddox and Brenda Richer for all their loving care of Carolyn.
