Carolyn Petit

Carolyn Jean Cupp Petit, 78, of Weyers Cave, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Shenandoah House.

She was born on November 23, 1946 and was a daughter of the late Leon S. and Pauline (Howdyshell) Cupp.

Carolyn was a member of Sangerville United Methodist Church. She retired from Marshall's in 2011 after 25 years of service. After her retirement she enjoyed helping others and was a caregiver for many in the community. She was a gardener and loved her flowers.

Carolyn was united in marriage on September 19, 1970 to Victor A. Petit.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her son, Travis Petit & wife Kim; three grandchildren, Brianna Petit & fiancé Corey Wheeler, Kayla Petit and Morgan Petit; two sisters, Marie Huffer & husband Luther "Tinker", and Judy Puffenbarger; special friends, Gary & Linda Simmers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Harold Cupp & wife Anna; brother-in-law, Willie Puffenbarger.

A service celebrating Carolyn's life will be held on February 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Pastor Gary Monroe officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral & Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Health Foundation, for the Shenandoah House, PO Box 1000, Fishersville, VA 22939.
