Carolyn L. Covey
Mrs. Carolyn L. Covey, 85 of Paw Paw, West Virginia passed away Tuesday, June 13th, 2023, at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia and went on to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She was born Carolyn Louise Powers on Friday January 7th, 1938, just outside of Levels, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Harold and Francis Powers. She worked various jobs over the years which included waitressing at Olde Stone Truck Stop in Clear Brook, Virginia and as an Apple Grader at the Consolidated Orchard Company in Paw Paw, West Virginia, just to name a few, but for the most part she was a Stay-at-Home Mother, and this was the job that she enjoyed the most.
She was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church and The American Legion Auxiliary (Ladies Auxiliary) of Post 128 both in Paw Paw, West Virginia. She enjoyed spending time with family, getting her hair styled, and watching her favorite TV programs.
On November 22, 1963, she married Roy A. Covey, who preceded her in death on August 20, 2014.

Edward Powers of Short Gap, WV
Louis Powers of Paw Paw
Ten grandchildren –
Kelli, Robert, Larry, Katelyn, Sierra, Cody, Roger, McKayla, Brittany and Alexzander
And seven great-grandchildren –
Zoey, Wyatt, Audrey, Kimber, Braxton, Billie Ann and Madison
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph Powers and Brownie Powers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, June 19, 2023 at Kimble Funeral Home in Paw Paw.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church with Pastor Earl Travis and Evangelist Richard White officiating.
Interment will be at Camp Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life Meal in her honor at the American Legion Post 128 in Paw Paw, West Virginia prepared by the Ladies Auxiliary of Post 128 after the conclusion of funeral services.
