Carl Calvin Hohnke

Carl "Skip" Calvin Hohnke Jr., 65, of Harrisonburg, peacefully entered the arms of the Lord on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

He was born on December 4, 1958 and was a son of the late Carl Hohnke, Sr. and Nellie (Shifflett) Hohnke.

Skip was co-owner and operator of Minnick Termite and Pest Control and retired after 44 years of service. Skip was a wonderful father and a loving husband who cherished his family.

Skip was united in marriage to Pamela (Minnick) Hohnke, who survives.

Skip is also survived by two sons, Thomas and Mark Hohnke; a brother, Tony Hohnke; special cousins, Rick and Vick Ahles.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his in-laws, Ray and Virginia Minnick, who loved him as a son.

The family will receive friends from 4 until 5 PM on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM on Aug. 5th, at Briery Branch Church of the Brethren Cemetery, with Chaplain Dave Kite officiating.
