Calvin "Earl" Campbell
Calvin “Earl” Campbell, 82, widower of Pauline Mae (Campbell) Campbell, of Fishersville, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.
Earl was born on September 7, 1941, a son of the late Cecil Rupert Campbell and Gladys Dodd Campbell. He was born and raised in Nelson County, Virginia.
After proudly serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, Mr. Campbell continued his dedication to service through a career with the Navy Civil Service in Norfolk, Virginia. Upon retirement, he settled in Augusta County.
Earl enjoyed gardening and took great pride in his collection of antique cars, which he loved to display and drive in the Fourth of July Parade.
Mr. Campbell was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his wife of 53 years and parents, Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Campbell; two brothers, Wilbert Campbell and Ralph “Cocoa” Campbell; two sisters, Brenda (Campbell) Fitzgerald and Judy (Campbell) Morris; and his step-father, Raymond Campbell.
Surviving, is a daughter, Kimberly “Kim” Hunter and her husband, Hank of Mt. Sidney; two grandchildren, Maelynn and Kara Hunter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024 in Augusta Memorial Park by Pastor Lee Thomas.
