Betty Jean Miller
Betty Jean Miller, 72, of Fishersville, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at her residence.
Ms. Miller was born in Staunton, Virginia on November 24, 1953, a daughter of the late James Olin Miller and Myrtle Mae (Lawhorne) Miller.
Betty was a proud graduate of Buffalo Gap High School. She was a front-end manager for Kroger and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles “Chuck” Miller and a sister-in-law, Nancy Melady.
Surviving is a daughter, Christina R. Baber and her husband Travis of Staunton; two sisters, Margaret L. Miller and Judy A. Miller both of Swoope; a nephew, Philip Miller and his wife Meagan; nieces, Jessica Miller, Amanda Driver and her husband Joe; great-nieces and great-nephews, Gabe, Karper, and Brexton Miller, Matthias, Kaitlyn, Hannalynn, and Madelyn Driver; a special family, “The Melady’s”; loving West Coast family; “favorite” cousin, Debbie and her many other cousins; friends from her neighborhood, church, Kroger co-workers and customers; and a special friend and “sister” Betty Sensabaugh.
A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 in the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Following the services guests are welcome to gather at Betty’s residence to share memories.
Burial will be private.
Honorary pallbearers; Travis, Philip, Gabe, Joe, Clem, Jack, Aaron, Bob, Mark, Jim, and Kevin.
Betty’s family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for all the love, prayers, cards, support, and visits to Betty during her 14-year battle against cancer.

Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive in Staunton is in charge of her arrangements.
