Betty Jane (Wilfong) Knicley

Betty Jane (Wilfong) Knicley, 85, of Bridgewater, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026.

She was born on January 22, 1940, and was a daughter of the late John Wilfong and Elva "Betts" (Garber) Wilfong Hardy

Betty owned and operated Knicley Tax Service for many years. She enjoyed antiquing, and genealogy.

Betty was united in marriage on December 27, 1958 to Bruce Knicley, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by four children, Ricky Knicley, Ronnie (Debbie) Knicley, Scott (Jewel) Knicley, and Linda (Carroll) Andrews; five grandchildren, Jared (Devin) Knicley, Travis (Beth) Knicley, Nikki (Stephen) Van Pelt, Hunter Knicley, and Jon (Lisa) Andrews; twelve great grandchildren; a great-great-grandaughter; brothers, Ed (Janie) Hall, and William "Skip" (Sandra) Hall, Jr.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by step-fathers, William Hall, and Thomas Hardy.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 7 PM on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2025, at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater.

A service celebrating Betty's life will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, Jan. 8th, at the funeral home, with Pastor Billy Curry officiating. Burial will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery. The funeral will be live-streamed on the funeral website.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Springs Creek Church of the Nazarene Youth Group.
