Betty Hawkins Arey

Betty Hawkins Arey, 95, of Bridgewater, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Harrisonburg Health and Rehab.

She was born in Augusta County, on August 13, 1928 and was a daughter of the late Weldon and Bessie (Moore) Hawkins.

She was united in marriage to Richard Arey, who preceded her death.

Betty had worked in food service before retiring.

She is survived by daughter-in-law, Sandra Arey.

In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by son, Kenneth Arey and sister Dorothy Hawkins.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 2:30 PM on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM at November 18, 2023, with Rev. Hollis Dodge and Pastor Jerry Smith officiating. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Bridgewater.
