Barbara Myers Kiracofe
Barbara Myers Kiracofe, 77, of Bridgewater, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at her home.
She was born on April 22, 1946 and was a daughter of the late Harold A. and Janet (Liskey) Myers.
Barbara's life was about her family as she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active member of the Sangerville Church of the Brethren. She was extremely creative with her sewing clothes for her family and making quilts, along with her numerous crafts. She was a wonderful cook and loved to tend her gardens. She helped her husband on the farm, tending lambs, gathering eggs and doing the books. She served her community as part of the Bridgewater Home Auxiliary and later the X's. She had worked at Buckhorn Inn, the Drapery Shop, Evers Restaurant and Patchwork Plus.
Barbara was united in marriage on April 17, 1965 to Phillip Kiracofe.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Christine) Kiracofe, David (Julie) Kiracofe, Lisa (Bill) Smiley, and Kristin (Brian) Watkins; brother-in-law, Cecil Fike; 15 grandchildren, Jacob (Amber) Rexrode, Abigayle Rexrode, Tabatha (Jason) Chandler, Zachariah (Callie) Rexrode, Kati Kiracofe, Christian Kiracofe, Steeve Kiracofe, Anaika Kiracofe, Farra Kiracofe, Mycala Kiracofe, Parker Kiracofe, Rebecca Smiley, Brian (Amber Welsh) Smiley, Troy Watkins, and Cole Watkins; 8 great grandchildren, Taylor Rexrode, Deegan Rexrode, Brynnleigh Rexrode, Christopher Chandler, Caylaih Chandler, Cyleigh Chandler, Orion Rexrode, and Juniper Rexrode and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Fike.
A service celebrating Barbara's life will be held on November 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Sangerville Church of the Brethren with Pastor Steve Spire officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
