Andrew Fisher

August 27, 1964 - August 24, 2025

Andrew James Fisher, 60, of Fort Valley, Virginia, left on his final hike, the 24th of August 2025. Andrew was a brilliant human being, a lover of music, and a true adventurist at heart. Andrew’s infectious love for all things in nature was evident to those who knew him. Born 27 August 1964, in Rochford, Essex, England. Andrew was a founding member of the punk band Kronstadt Uprising. He later served in the British Military, Royal Corps of Transport, earning the rank of Lance Corporal.

During his life, Andrew successfully completed the 2,197-mile hike of the Appalachian Trail, the 2,653-mile Pacific Crest Trail, and numerous other long-distance trails around the world, all the while making life-long friends. He also earned his degree in Arboriculture from Writtle University College. Andrew settled in the United States and married the love of his life, Kimberley Hager.

Andrew leaves behind at the trail head, his wife of 21 years, Kimberley, his sister, Marilyn Spearman, son Jacob, (Vytaute), and two granddaughters, Aila and Ona, and many family and friends from all walks of life around the world.

A private service is being held 6 September on the family estate.
