Allen D. Byerly

DEERFIELD – Allen Dewey Byerly, 73, lifelong resident of Deerfield, passed away May 3, 2024 at his home.

Allen was born in Harrisonburg, the youngest son of the late Dewey Alfred and Evelyn Pearl (Reeves) Byerly. He graduated from Buffalo Gap High School and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was a long-time heavy equipment operator and retired from Faulkner Construction.

Surviving are a brother, Clarence E. Byerly and his wife Dianne of New Freedom, Pa., a niece, Erin Hope and her husband Nick; uncles and aunts Earl and Jessie Reeves, and Richard and Maralee Reeves; numerous cousins and dear friends.

In accordance with Allen’s wishes, there will be no public ceremonies.
