Albert L. Parady

February 23, 1937 - July 24, 2024

CHURCHVILLE – Albert Lee Parady, 87, of Hankey Mountain Hwy., Churchville, passed away Wednesday (July 24, 2024) in Augusta Health.

One of 11 children, he was born in Freeman, Maine on February 23, 1937.

Albert was a 39-year employee of Luck Stone Quarry, Augusta Plant, retiring as plant foreman. He was a member of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church. Albert loved children, and enjoyed volunteering at Glossbrenner’s Jump Start program for 3- and 4-year-olds for a number of years after his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, George and Ruby Parady; his beloved wife of 56 years, Charlotte Linda (Clements) Parady; and a daughter-in-law, Donna (Harlow) Parady.

Surviving are three children, Albert Lewis Parady (June Skinner) of Weyers Cave, Ellen Lynn “Mickey” Britt (Michael “Jack” Britt) of West Augusta, and Joseph Scott Parady (Kimberly Acord Parady) of Churchville; five grandchildren, Jennifer Jack (Travis), Ashley Huyard (Drew), Casey Parady (Elizabeth Sheets), Megan Britt (Jake Good), and Lauren Balser (Johnny); six great-grandchildren, Corbyn Jack, Dylan and Tucker Huyard, Lynna and Lyza Balser, and Evan Sheets-Parady; and special friend Ann Huffer.

A funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 28 in the chapel of Bear Funeral Home, officiated by Pastor Lester Kennedy. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Billy Mullins, Jake Good, Drew Huyard, Travis Jack, Ray Cox and David Acord.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.
