Angeliki Floros
With the heaviest hearts, the family of Angeliki Boutsis-Floros announces her passing on October 17, 2026. For all the hard-fought battles she won throughout her life, it is not the final one she lost that will define her but rather her selfless love for others and her unwavering courage to persevere.
Angeliki was a woman whose life was marked by her generosity, resilience, and deep devotion to God, her family, and community. Her presence touched countless lives throughout the Shenandoah Valley, where she became a familiar face and a cherished part of the local restaurant community.
Having come to America from Greece, Angeliki made a life for herself in a new country, becoming a naturalized United States citizen in the early 2000s. She learned to speak English behind the counter at Jess’ Downtown Quick Lunch in Harrisonburg, building connections with customers and neighbors one conversation at a time. During those formative years, she found friendship, guidance, and a sense of belonging in Eva, whose kindness, and companionship became a precious part of her journey.
Through her years at Jess’ Quick Lunch, Angeliki helped carry forward longstanding family traditions. Together with her partner, Thomas Marchese, she opened Lil’ Gus’s in Grottoes, VA, beginning a new chapter that preserved the spirit of the family’s legacy while creating a place where neighbors could gather, friendships could flourish, and everyone could feel welcome.
Angeliki’s life was about far more than the businesses she built. She will be remembered for her warmth, her generous spirit, and the love she shared with those closest to her. Behind her accomplishments was a woman whose greatest legacy lives in the people she loved and the lives she touched.
Angeliki is survived by her treasured son, Konstantinos George Floros; her parents, Efstathia and Athanasios Boutsis; her partner and best friend, Thomas Marchese; and her beloved 4-legged companions, Lucky and Luna.
A celebration of Angeliki’s life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., at Lil’ Gus’s, 703 Dogwood Avenue in Grottoes, Virginia. Family, friends, and members of the community are invited to gather in remembrance of a woman whose life left a lasting impression on so many.
Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on through her family, her friends, and the community she helped shape.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
With love, the family of Angeliki Boutsis Floros.
