Linda Kay (Barnhart) Link

Linda was born on August 5, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Jennings D. and Carmen (Claytor) Barnhart. She was the youngest of their five children, and was adored by her parents and family, especially her beloved Aunt Violet Scott.

On May 7,1965, she married the love of her life, James G. Link of Waynesboro, Virginia. They shared 59 years together before he preceded her in death in 2022.

On June 16, 1985, they adopted their daughter, Jodi Link of Grottoes, They gave her a secure and stable home, and loved her fiercely.

Linda was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and friends, and loved helping others. She was a devoted Christian, and animal lover.

She graduated from Blue Ridge Community College, and was later employed by the State of Virginia, where she worked as a case worker, child support specialist and EBT trainer. Her tenure exceeded 30 years.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Jodi Link and fiance Josh Grundy of Grottoes, Virginia, her granddaughter, Isabella (Bella) Myrick, her grandson, Kailen Grundy and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm on Friday, October 23,2026 at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, October, 24,2026 at the funeral home.

All services will be held at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Grottoes, Virginia. Burial will be private.
