Arnet "PeeWee" Harriston Wood

Arnet Harriston “PeeWee” Wood, 62, of Stuarts Draft, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026. He was born on in Waynesboro on June 22, 1964 to the late Randolph and Patsy Lou (McLaughlin) Wood, who still survives.

PeeWee as he was best known worked as a truck driver until his retirement. He was a jack of all trades and could fix pretty much anything and it would be clean and perfectly done when it was finished. He attended Blue Ridge Chapel. His hobbies included driving Peterbilt Trucks, riding his motorcycle, storytelling and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Bernard and Mae Wood; his maternal grandparents, Helen and June McLaughlin; uncle, Lurty Wood; as well as numerous additional uncles and aunts.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Sara Wood; son, Hank Bradshaw; granddaughter, Alstyn Bradshaw; parents-in-law, Clyde and Patsy Lynch, brother-in-law, Michael Bond and wife, Debbie; sister-in-law, Tris Tiffany; as well as extended family and many friends.

He also leaves behind his four legged best friend, Cindy Lou.

Following a private burial service, a celebration of life service will be conducted at 6pm on Monday, October 26, 2026 at Red August Farm, 1171 Hermitage Rd, Waynesboro, VA with Pastor Mike Woods officiating.

There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home.
