Charlotte A. Sprouse

CHURCHVILLE – Charlotte Ann Fox Sprouse, 96, formerly of Churchville, passed away Sunday (October 4, 2026) in Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab Center, where she had been a resident for the past six years.

Born October 3, 1930 in Craigsville, she was a daughter of Lewis Edward and Minnie Bell (Jackson) Fox. She was a graduate of Craigsville High School and was employed for many years by Stillwater Mill. She was a member of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Charlotte was devoted to the well-being of her family throughout her lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Harris Sprouse; daughter Cynthia Wine; granddaughter Carmen Sprouse; sons-in-law Tony Puckett and Scott Fitzgerald; and nine siblings. Surviving are four children, Sheila Puckett of Staunton, Tanny Hildebrand and husband Bob of Churchville, Daniel Sprouse of Staunton, and Deborah Fitzgerald of Churchville; grandchildren Justin May, Eric May, Damian Fink, Devon Fridley, Chase Wine, Tori Hildebrand Knott, Danielle Sprouse, Kaitlin Sprouse Sauer, Tara Fitzgerald and Trenton Fitzgerald; great-grandchildren Allie May, Stella May, Maggie May, Carter Fink, Drake Fink, Bryson Fink, Landon Fridley, Lance Fridley, Sadie Wine, Cade Wine, Tinsley Knott, Tanner Knott, Charleigh Fitzgerald and Levi Fitzgerald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held privately in Craigsville Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
