Lee "Thanh Nguyen" Ann Gill

Lee Ann (Thanh Nguyen) Gill, of Waynesboro, VA, departed this life with her family surrounding her at her residence peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2026, at age 78. Born on June 2, 1948 in Sa Déc, Vietnam. Mrs. Gill was the daughter of the late Hau and Nham Nguyen. Lee Ann was a hard worker who retired from Genesco as a seamstress. Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gill, of 50 years. Also, by her older siblings, Phuoc Nguyen, Tuong Nguyen, and Hien Nguyen; and her son-in-law, Thibeaux Lincecum. Lee Ann is survived by her children: two daughters, Nicole Ann Gill and her companion, Brian Turner of VA, and Jacqueline Ann Lincecum of MD; a son Steven Thomas Gill and his wife Laura of TN; six grandchildren, Krystyna Gill, Austin Turner, Jaden Turner, Nicholas North, Guy Lincecum, and Harper Lincecum; on great grandchild, Liam Turner. We would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all of our extended Vietnamese family and friends across the United States. Specifically, we would like to recognize Ronald Chappell. We will always be grateful for the care you gave so generously. Lee Ann possessed a vibrant spirit that would remain a defining part of her character throughout her life. In the days before her passing, she reflected on her journey as an immigrant who arrived with little, but carried great dreams. Through hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice she built a life of which she was deeply proud. Above all she cherished her family and spoke with immense pride of their accomplishments, knowing they were among her greatest blessings and her most enduring legacy. Those who knew her best will say that she will especially be remembered for singing her Vietnamese songs, conversing, dancing, and treasured nothing more than time spent with family. Though Lee Ann is no longer with us in the way we wish, her presence remains woven into the lives of all who loved her. The family will receive friends Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
