Virginia Knicely

Virginia Ann (Kilburn) Knicely, 89, of Bridgewater, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026 at her home.

She was born on July 21, 1937, and was a daughter of the late Leland Bowers and Lois Kilburn.

Virginia's favorite things to do were being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and attending their baseball games.

She was united in marriage to Ernest Knicely Sr., who preceded her in death.

Virginia is survived by six children, Teresa (Clifton) Bayne, Alan (Patricia) Knicely, Harold (Terri) Knicely, Ernest Knicely, Jr, Jeffrey (Constance) Knicely, and Adam (Lori) Knicely; step-daughter, Beverly Parker; step-son, Larry (Barbara)Knicely; twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Phillip Layman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a step-son, Gerald Knicely, and a sister, Linda Layman.

A service celebrating Virginia's life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 11 AM at Johnson Funeral and Cremation Service in Bridgewater. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
