Mary Lou (Armstrong) Miller

Mary Lou (Armstrong) Miller, 93, of Bridgewater Retirement Community passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.

She was born December 15, 1932, a daughter of the late Byron and Ava (Zimmerman) Armstrong. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, Harold Armstrong and wife Jean, and I.J. Armstrong and wife Arnetta, and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Diehl and husband Paul.

Surviving family members include her sister, Ruth Helen Howdyshell and husband Ryland; nieces, Wanda Myers, Cynthia Howdyshell and husband, James "Dink" Shull, Melissa Driver and husband M.L., June Diehl, and Donna Rexrode and husband Steve; nephews, Mike Armstrong and wife Jennifer, Matt Armstrong and wife Heather, Larry Diehl and wife Tina, and Steve Diehl and wife Jenny; great-nieces, Marianne Driver, Julie Armstrong and fiancé Patrick Sullivan, Laurel Armstrong, and Ansley Armstrong; great-nephews, Shawn Myers and wife Bethany, Travis Myers and wife Christina, Martin Driver and friend Faith Caricofe, Clayton Armstrong and fiancé, Julia Deavers, Jordan Diehl and wife Jennie, and Kyle Diehl and wife Blair.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Sangerville Church of the Brethren Cemetery with Pastor Darren Howdyshell officiating.

Family and friends are invited to a meal of fellowship following the graveside service at the Moscow Covenant Brethren Church, 866 Nash Road, Mount Solon, VA.

Family and friends wishing to pay their respects may come by the funeral home between 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday, August 31, 2026.

Pallbearers will be James "Dink" Shull, M.L. Driver, Mike Armstrong, Matt Armstrong, Steve Diehl, and Duane Hylton.

Memorial contributions may be made to Moscow Covenant Brethren Church, 866 Nash Rd, Mount Solon, Virginia 22843.
