Dreama L. Piner

STAUNTON – Dreama Leigh (Jack) Piner, 73, passed away Monday (July 20, 2026).

Born September 24, 1952 in Deerfield, she was a daughter of the late Edward Glenn and Roxie Mae (Burgandine) Jack. She graduated from Buffalo Gap High School and attended Salem College.

Dreama owned and operated a residential cleaning business for 30 years. She loved her work and truly enjoyed building relationships with her clients. She was an active member of Deerfield Church of God. Dreama loved to crochet, and created hundreds of toys annually for toy drives and friends. She was a gifted artist whose sketches and other works were appreciated by many. She adored her cats and welcomed many feline friends to her home over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jesse Lee Piner; and a sister, Karen Sue Jack. Survivors include her daughter Cassie Piner (wife Rachel Heneberry), with whom she made her home in Staunton; stepson Rodney Piner (wife Julie and their children Desiré and Lydia Piner); two brothers, Ricky Jack and Steve Jack (wife Donna), both of Deerfield; several nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; numerous cousins including special cousin Tina Simmons; and best friend Alice Patler.

There will be no public services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah or to a cat rescue organization.
